tsukao is a Japanese Photographer based in TOKYO.

I love beautiful light and captivating moment. Everyone knows that not everything in the world is happy. But I can find there are plenty of beautiful moments that will raise my heart.

Even right now, somewhere in the world, there is a wonderful sunset on a beach,there are beautiful birds twitting love,there are nice light come out from crowd at urban crossing ,in somewhere in the world. I can catch the moment in photos.

1977 Born in Kobe,Japan

2001 Graduate Kobe Univ.Belonged to photography club.

2003 Assistant to Photographer SUGAWARA ichigo.

2006 Start career as Photographer.

Working for Advertising,music image,fashion,magazines and so on.

5月6日生まれ神戸出身。2001年神戸大学卒業。在学中は写真部に所属。

2003年写真家の菅原一剛氏に師事、2006年独立。

広告、雑誌、音楽、ファッション、などの分野で活動中。

2005年「I LIKE TODAY」展（BEAMS GALLERY）,「読書する風景」（EMON PHOTO GALLERY）参加。

2005年ー2010年 「100 PHOTOGRAPHERS」展（コマーシャルフォト）参加

2010年「しゃしんわ」展（島根県立美術館）参加,

2012年「うたかた 写真と原画展」（GALLERY北野坂）,

2014年「3人のフォトグラファーが撮る小松菜奈」展（パルコ　GALLERY X) 参加。

2014年「雪の国の白雪姫」展（山陽堂ギャラリー）

2015年「ALL L/Right」展（代官山ギャラリースピークフォー）

著書に「東京空気公園」（主婦の友社）,「うたかたーまんがで読む谷川俊太郎」（プレビジョン／角川グループパブリッシング）。

また、ブラジル写真集＋CD「クーラーカフェブラジル」（LD&K),CD＋写真集「GREEN」等を撮影

谷川俊太郎氏の写真詩集「＜どこかの森＞のアリス」（LD&K),「雪の国の白雪姫」（PARCO出版）では写真とムービーを撮影。

2015年７月、愛すべき瞬間を集めた、tsukao初の写真集「ALL L/Right」（リブロアルテ）刊行。

She leads the photography set the same she appears, with a warm atmosphere. Her original style photos really capture the unique moments of the models in a very comfortable way. Because I review the material so much, I really understand that tsukao is a truly warm-hearted person. I think this is what makes it very natural to make a warm-hearted movie when we work together. It is really rare to find a something that I want to cut out of the production, which is surprising. As a Director, it is a pleasure to really need to think about what I am willing to cut out. Although we often work together on projects with cute and gentle atmospheres, I would really like to do something cool in future!

その見た目と同様、とても柔らかい雰囲気で現場を包み込みリードしてくれる。モデル・被写体の一瞬の輝きを引き出して切り取るtsukaoさんならではのイメージ、優しい画作りがとても心地よい。撮影後、その素材を誰よりも見る自分だから分かる事ですが、見れば見るほど撮りての優しさが伝わってくる。そんなカメラマン。だから私も、ご一緒する作品では自然に優しい映像作りをする事ができている気がします。また、無駄なカットが本当に少ない事に毎度驚き、撮影素材時点での完成度が高いので、OKカットをどれにするか迷ってしまう事もディレクターとしては嬉しい限り。キュートで優しい雰囲気の作品でご一緒する事が多いですが、今後、クールでソリッドな作品でも是非ご一緒してみたいと思っております！

I remember the first time we worked together very well. Together, with the other young female creators of the project, we were discussing the planning that goes into taking photos. We all agreed that we use all of our power to take the right photo and the moment we take the photo we all hold our breath. Tsukao always does her best and is able to draw out the talent of the all those involved. I treasure all the work I have done with her. I love tsukao’s photos and tsukao who is charming and stoic.
